A little while later, the dog hears a call from his master and the master tells him they're going hunting---and he is excited. The man says, "Before we do, I'm just gonna check the newspaper to see what the weather's going to be like." The dog says, "You can't find anything out from a piece of paper." The man says, "Of course I can. I do it all the time." For once the weather report was accurate and the dog was amazed. He said, "Wow! That's a miracle!" Now again, it would have been a miracle if the dog had read the newspaper and learned something, but it wasn't a miracle for the man. |
