If a friend of yours made the kinds of claims
that Jesus did about himself and if you thought he really believed
it, but thought he was wrong, would you recommend people come and
listen to his wonderful teachings?
These are huge issues, but not really all that complex. There really
is such a thing as real truth to be discovered. Everything is not
relative. Just because someone is sincere, that doesn’t mean
their view is right, because truth doesn’t equal sincerity---and
truth is narrow. We ought to be kind and tolerant and respectful
to all people, but we have a responsibility to reject falsehood
and seek the truth. The big question is, who do you think Jesus
is?
