It all depends on whether we are trusting in ourselves and our own goodness and performance, in our ability to earn a relationship with God, or are we depending on Him? To receive the gift, to truly believe in Christ, means to place all our trust and confidence in Him and His payment, not in our goodness or our performance. When one makes the decision to receive the gift, to place your trust in Jesus Christ, we must transfer the trust from ourselves to him. |
