When Christ died He paid the penalty for all sins. That means that all our sins---past, present, and future. Now, since He paid for all of our sins, and if we have received the pardon, in God's eyes, we have a clean slate for our entire life. That's why it's possible for a perfect and holy God to accept sinners. He doesn't have to lower His standard to let us in. Through Christ, all of our sins were removed from our record. Now when we commit a sin, we confess it to God, and tell Him we are sorry. But we are already forgiven through Christ. |
