Suppose somebody had come up to you and asked if you were absolutely certain of the safety of flying, if you were "completely free" of doubts. You might say that the odds were pretty good, excellent actually, but you might also have said that you had a certain amount of doubt---a very small doubt. Now even though you have some doubt, that doubt didn't prevent you from boarding the airplane. Nor did that doubt keep you from reaching the destination. You made a decision to put your trust in the pilot and in the airplane in spite of some doubt. That's the same way with faith in Christ. A person can make a decision to believe in Christ even if they're not completely free of doubt.
