Just have a simple conversation with God. First, express to Him your understanding of the problem---and remember the problem is that God is a holy and perfect God, and that you've sinned and separated yourself from Him. Next, simply express your thanks for His solution of sending His son to die on the cross in your place---to pay the penalty for your sins. Then finally, tell Him that you accept Jesus Christ, that you received the gift of His payment, and that you're placing your trust in Christ and not in your own goodness. |
