A few simple things will help you in how to study
the Bible. For one thing, always try to write or highlight or take
notes when you read, either in your Bible or in a journal book---it's
amazing how much more one learns with a pen in hand. Even with a
great reverence for the Bible, the primary point of any study is
not to have an immaculate book that sits on your coffee table, but
to learn from it---and most people learn more and remember better
when they write. But, if that bothers you, just take notes on separate
paper.
