A cute little story illustrates this. A little boy was helping his dad with some chores around their ranch. He was trying to move a huge rock out of the path and was grunting, groaning and straining, all to no avail. His dad was watching him out of the corner of his eye and he finally asked, "Son, are you using all your strength?" "Dad!" said the boy, "Can't you see that I am?" His dad said, "But you're not son...you haven't asked me to help." Our loving Father in Heaven is eager to help, we just need to ask, and then of course, just as our mom taught us, remember to thank him. |
