What if he just
'appeared' dead?
Even after these really clear indications of death, putting him
in a cool damp tomb and wrapping him in gummy spices is hardly the
medical procedure that would be recommended to revive somebody---actually,
it probably would've finished him off. If he wasn't dead, we would
have to imagine that, in this state, he pushed over a two ton stone,
frightened a group of seasoned, hardened soldiers---who were threatened
with capital punishment if they let a prisoner escape---then he
walked a couple of miles on pierced and wounded feet, and finally
convinced his disciples that he had defeated death. Now, talk about
a miracle!
