Still, humans make
errors
Even if we grant that the Bible is historically accurate and that
over 99% of what the original said is accurate, that doesn't prove
necessarily that God wrote the Bible. Accuracy and reliability don't
prove divine authorship or inspiration.
The Bible claims to be the "inspired"
word of God---that's not the same thing as dictation from God. Rather,
God 'superintended' the human authors to use their own individual
personalities and vocabulary, to write what he intended, without
error, at least in the original manuscripts. If there is a God and
if he created us humans and wanted to communicate with us, then
he certainly could get the job done, without mistakes, if he wanted
to.
