Maybe they were just lucky
There are scores of specific---not cryptic or mysterious---but clear predictions about the coming of the Messiah---to say nothing about predictions regarding the rise and fall of nations and other events fulfilled in history.

Some people have wondered how can one know that these prophecies didn't just happen by chance? The Bible is a big book and it's got a lot of statements.
