A Jewish man named Barry Levanthal said he was
amazed about what the Old Testament said about the Messiah. It says
in Isaiah 53 that this one who had come from a humble family would
be rejected and would bear the punishment for others. That he would
be pierced through for our sins, and would be whipped, but would
be meek and silent as a lamb led to the slaughter. He was supposed
to be buried as a pauper, but ended up in a rich man's grave---all
this without ever committing any violence himself. Every one of
these details, written 700 years before the time of Christ, matches
precisely with the purpose of Jesus' life and the events surrounding
his life and his death.
