What does the atheist
say about evil?
First, it's how the worldview satisfies us intellectually and then
secondly, the subjective and personal impact on people who are going
through suffering. Two major worldviews that have a lot to say about
this are atheism and pantheism. Atheism takes the position that
pain exists, but God doesn't exist---in other words, God is an illusion.
Pantheism, on the other hand says just the opposite. Pantheism says,
yes, God exists, but pain does not---pain is an illusion.
Now, a third major worldview, theism, which is the Bible's explanation,
says that both God and pain exist and neither is an illusion.
