The flower, the dog, the man, and God
For the sake of the analogy, you have to assume that these characters can communicate. The flower and a dog were standing out in the meadow and the dog says to the flower, "Boy it's getting hot out here. I think I'm going to trot over into the shade." The flower says, "You can't trot over into the shade, you've got to bloom where you are planted." The dog says, "What do you mean I can't trot over to the shade? Just watch!" So he trots over into the shade and the flower says, "Wow! That was a miracle!" It would have been a miracle if the flower had trotted over into the shade, but it wasn't a miracle for the dog to do that.
