What is the real
'essence' of Christianity?
I believe we're all meant to look, in the first place, not at the
people who claim to follow Jesus Christ, but at Jesus himself and
the kind of life he led. Take a hard, long look at Matthew,
Mark, Luke, and John in the New Testament---those four eyewitnesses---in
order to examine the real Jesus, instead of the often times poor
caricature of him that you see in many of us who go by the name
"Christian."
In the final analysis, the real issue isn't some
religious system or group of people. It is a person named Jesus
Christ---and the question is, "What do you think of him?"
