So do we all get to go to Heaven?
Since Christ paid the penalty for us all, does that mean we're all automatically in? No, it doesn't. Just because the payment is made in full, just because the pardon is offered, that doesn't mean that the pardon is in effect. It has to be received. God has offered us this incredible gift and we're then faced with the most important decision of our lives.

If we remember the question about standing at the gate of Heaven, and why should God let you in, most people would have probably said they tried to live a good life or something like that. This is such a helpful question because it gets right at the heart of what we are trusting in as the basis for our acceptance with God.
