Even so, some still admit that the possibility exists that a person can accept the gift and then commit one or more major sins. But before we start condemning anyone too quickly, let's think back a bit. Referring to the Sermon on the Mount, everyone who has lusted would be disqualified as well. Not only could murder disqualify a person, so could the sin of bitterness. Sin is sin and God hates it all. He doesn't distinguish between the degrees of sin---that was the Pharisee's mistake. |
