But I want the 'best'
life has to give!
A stronger motivation might be a combination of two things. On the
one hand, a desire to experience what Jesus called the abundant
life---and on the other, a desire to avoid unnecessary pain. Abundant
simply means full, rich, or satisfying. The Bible says that God
wants to produce certain kinds of traits in our lives, but that
we can only get these traits by developing a closeness with Him,
by trusting Him and by following His direction. The description
of these traits is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Doesn't that pretty
well describe what most of us would really like to have in life?
The kinds of things money can't buy.
