Once we actually place our trust in Christ, it is true that God will never remove our eternal life. But that doesn't mean He won't discipline us. The New Testament says that if a father doesn't discipline his children, it means he doesn't really love them. Look back on your experience---can you say that there was never a moment when you didn't know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you father loved you, but you did have a 'healthy fear' of being disciplined by him. |
