There is a book called "Science Speaks"
written by Peter Stoner. He presents some calculations about the
probability of just 10 of the Messianic prophesies being fulfilled
by chance---and offers a fascinating illustration to demonstrate
it. He says, "Imagine that you cover the state of Texas with
silver dollars and make those silver dollars two feet thick. Mark
one of them with a blue X, shuffle them all, then blindfold somebody.
What do you think the probability is that they are going to pick
the one marked with the blue X on the first guess?" And this
is using only 10 prophecies! It would require a 'leap of faith'
to believe that the prophecies were fulfilled simply by chance.
Stoner's calculations show that it's unreasonable to believe that
all these prophecies came about by luck.
