Why didn't God 'make'
us love?
For love to exist, you must have a choice---and for choice to exist
there have to be consequences. If there aren't any consequences
or differences then choice doesn't exist and if there's no choice,
there's no love. The free will to make choices is what makes us
capable of responding to God, and thus, capable of a personal and
loving relationship with him.
God didn't bring evil and suffering into the
world, his creatures did. If God is omnipotent, and has all this
power, why couldn't he make us free creatures and still prevent
the pain somehow?
