Why didn't God create
us not to 'mess up'?
Nothing says God had to make creatures and make them with free will.
But, if God himself decides to do that, he can't make them free
and not free at the same time. If there were no consequences to
our actions, it would be the same as having no choices and if there
is no choice, there is no free will. Without free will, we're back
to the fact that real love is impossible.
In order to wipe out pain, he'd have to wipe
out the source of pain, which is evil. God could have prevented
the problem by making us robots or that he could end the problem
by wiping all of us out!
