How can 'punishment'
be loving?
Imagine yourself as a Jew of the Holocaust with scars both physically
and emotionally, and your family has been tortured and killed. If
God doesn't plan to deal out justice to Hitler and his cohorts,
not in this life, and not in the next, would you feel like he loves
you?
If you take away justice and you end up taking
away love. It's his love that motivates him to bring justice to
those who use the free will he lovingly gave them to harm other
creatures he loves.
