Most people realize that this more than just an intellectual journey. If there really is a God you can know personally, then He must want some personal response from us, not just some ritualistic and distant intellectual acknowledgment of His existence. Sometimes it's uncomfortable because of the 'pride' in our skepticism and that a move forward to God would mean giving up that pride. Some are actually proud of their skepticism, and have a pride about their successes in life. |
