It's still hard for me to 'give up' control
It comes down to control---and our willingness to give it up to Him. He has promised then to give us direction and a "peace that transcends all understanding."

If you really believe that God loves you and made the ultimate sacrifice for you, doesn't it follow that He must want the best for you? If God loves us and He wants the best for us on the one hand, and if He knows what's best for us on the other hand, doesn't it seem that we'd be fools not to trust Him with our lives?
