That's obviously a problem. So, if evil and
pain are just an illusion, then God isn't evil. That's the way out
of the 'trap'. The intellectual problems with this are staggering.
Because, first of all, pantheism assumes an eternal universe, but
the data brought to us by science contradicts that idea harshly.
In addition, pantheism's view of pain as an illusion requires the
denial of, all of our senses. All the evidence that one feels, the
pain and experiences with ones senses, is not real to the Pantheist
since evil is an illusion.
